We have particular expertise in giving evidence on the loss of employment land in planning cases where consent is being sought for the change of use of an industrial site to retail or residential use. Over many years we have been able to persuade Planning Inspectors that the loss of the subject site will not impact on the loss of employment land because there is sufficient provision in the area to meet future requirements.
In similar cases we have successfully argued that a former industrial site will not come forward for development because it would not be viable for the site in question to be developed for industrial purposes; sometimes because of the costs of remediation.
We have acted for both banks and insurance companies representing other firms of Chartered Surveyors where there has been allegations of negligence and also in cases where solicitors have been accused of negligence in handling lease renewal proceedings.
